Nathaniel Rackowe

January 2005. In his new installation Captive Light at Timebase Gallery, Nathaniel Rackowe presents a scale model of the gallery itself, constructed from light refracting Perspex panels. The structure is elevated and rotates between light-beams from 3 projectors. These beams consist of moving vertical and horizontal lines. The rotating object acts as a prism refracting the light and distorting the beams, which play across the walls of the space.
